Racial Discrimination

Racial Discrimination

Racial discrimination or harassment in hiring, promoting, or termination is prohibited by federal and state laws. When these types of personnel decisions are made and a hostile work environment interferes with an employee’s ability to perform the job, the actions could be considered racial harassment and discrimination.

Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Treating those of a certain ethnic group or race differently than those of another ethnic group or race
  • Applying different standard to those of certain ethnic group or race that are not applied to all employees
  • Implementing policies that pertain only to those of a certain ethnic group or race

We have represented employees and applicants for employment who have been discriminated against because of their race with regard to hiring, termination, promotion, compensation, job training, and other terms, conditions or privileges of employment.
