Robert A. Feldmeier, Esq.

Of Counsel

Having defended numerous clients from all military services before the highest military court and litigated sensitive cases while detailed to the National Security Agency (NSA), Robert has the background necessary to effectively represent military personnel in the most complex cases. A seasoned Army judge advocate, he is Of Counsel at Tully Rinckey PLLC and concentrates his practice on military law and military appellate practice.

Robert represents service members in a wide range of criminal and administrative matters, including courts-martial, Article 15s, officer/enlisted separation proceedings, and letters of reprimand. He is located in the Middle East and covers the Middle East/Afghanistan and Europe, to include Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. Because he is located near major U.S. bases in both Europe and the Middle East, Robert’s clients avoid the costs associated with attorneys who travel from the United States. An Iraq war veteran, he travels to the location of any proceeding, including those in hostile fire zones.

Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Robert served on active duty in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG) for nearly nine years. His JAG career began in Wuerzburg, Germany, where he was a legal assistance attorney who handled family law and estate planning matters for service members. He then served as an operational law attorney in Baghdad, where he prepared Central Criminal Court of Iraq cases involving Iraqi detainees. As a prosecuting attorney in Baghdad, Iraq, Schweinfurt, Germany and Daegu, South Korea, he prosecuted service members at court-martial for Uniform Code of Military Justice violations, securing over 30 convictions.

Robert later served as a prosecutor and intelligence law attorney at NSA and was a defense appellate attorney for the Army’s Defense Appellate Division, where he filed over 100 cases in military appellate courts, including the U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Most recently, Robert was a trial defense counsel in Kaiserslautern, Germany, where he handled the full scope of trial defense work.

In his spare time, Robert is an avid traveler, having visited every inhabited continent and almost every corner of the world. He enjoys participating in the activities of his local CrossFit gym, running, lifting weights, and reading.
