ID Theft Thrives in NYS

Since New York’s prohibition against identity theft took effect in November 2002, there have been 8,329 adult arrests statewide on identity theft charges through 2013, according to a Tully Rinckey PLLC analysis of New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services data obtained through a Freedom of Information Law request.
