New York state has 353 companies making Inc. magazine’s Inc. fastest-growing 5000 list.
That ranks New York third in the country for the second year in a row. California topped the list with 684 companies on the 5000 list, followed by Texas, with 404.
New York’s strong showing was helped by the advertising and media sector in New York City. However, two Albany-area companies cracked the top 1000. Etransmedia which was ranked No. 766. The North Greenbush medical transcription company’s revenue grew 399 percent in the past three years to $15 million. And Albany law firm Tully Rinckey was ranked No. 949. Its revenue grew 313 percent to $5 million in the past three years.
