Attorney Columnist

Attorney Mathew Tully has been selected to be a nationally syndicated columnist for Army Times Publishing Co. The company, established in 1940, owns numerous newspapers and magazines, and claims a readership of millions each week. The Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times are some of its publications. Articles appear both in print and online.

A major in the New York Army National Guard, Tully served in Iraq with the 42nd Infantry (Rainbow) Division, which was headquartered in Tikrit, hometown of former dictator Saddam Hussein.

He is a founding partner of the firm of Tully, Rinckey & Associates in Colonie and specializes in defending current and former federal employees in discrimination cases. In 2005, he was nationally recognized by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee for his pro bono work in defending Arab employees facing discrimination in the aftermath of 9/11.

Tully will focus his print columns on answering questions from readers regarding their rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act. His online work will provide information on general legal topics. His first article was featured in the June 4 editions of the papers.
