Free Turkey or Ham for Area Veterans

The Tully Rinckey law firm will offer free turkeys — or hams — to the first 100 veterans who show up at its offices next Monday and Tuesday.

This is the second year the firm has given away turkeys or hams to veterans.

Veterans can simply stop by the law offices at 441 Karner Road, Colonie, show a military or veteran’s ID number or card and pick up a gift certificate redeemable for a turkey or ham. The first 100 veterans or immediate family of those serving in the military abroad will be presented the gift certificates.

Mathew B. Tully, founding partner of the law firm and a major in the New York Army National Guard, is quoted in the turkey giveaway announcement as saying: “I can’t think of a more deserving group of people this holiday season. This is our small way of showing our appreciation to the men and women who give up so much for this country.”
