January 2009 Editon of the Albany County Bar Newsletter

Mathew B. Tully and Greg T. Rinckey have been selected to instruct the newly developed Law Practice Management course at Albany Law School. This is the first time that Albany Law School will have a course focused on the business aspect of working in the legal field. The course will prepare students for private practice and look at the way law firms are organized, the roles of partners and associates, and how non-attorney personnel functions in the law office setting.

Mathew B. Tully has successfully graduated from the clandestine National Security Space Institute (NSSI). Mr. Tully is one of the few attorneys and sole English solicitor to have attended and graduated from the NSSI. His enrollment in the program results from his position as a Space Operations Officer with the New York Army National Guard. The NSSI is the Department of Defense’s premier institute for providing servicemembers with the space education and training required to support military operations and advance US national security interests.

For the second year in a row, the firm of Tully Rinckey PLLC has joined Albany County Family Court in ensuring a merry Christmas for local families through participation in the Court’s eighth annual Adopt-a-Family program. The program is organized through the Children’s Center at the Family Court, which provides a safe environment for children to play and learn while their parents are dealing with court matters. Each year the Center has partnered with organizations to sponsor about 15 families a year.
