Lisa Windsor Discusses Military Justice and Defense Secretary Hagel’s Court Martial Overhaul

Former Army Judge Advocate General Lisa Marie Windsor of Tully Rinckey PLLC described the military’s court-martial system, and she responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Other topics included Defense Secretary Hagel’s announcement that the Pentagon would ask Congress to overhaul the system by scaling back the power of senior commanders to overturn convictions and dismiss charges. The requested changes were related to the military’s handling of a series of sexual assault cases.
