News of Note for Foodies

If you’re a veteran or a member of a veteran’s family, mark your calendar. Move fast enough and you could find a ham in your Easter basket.

The law firm of Tully Rinckey in Colonie is offering a free Easter ham (or turkey) to veterans and their families on Monday, April 18.

The first 50 through the door of the law firm, which is at 441 New Karner Road, will get a gift certificate for a free ham or turkey. (You will be asked to show a military or veterans ID number or card.)

The office will be open on Monday from 8:30 a.m. To 5:30 p.m.

Mathew B. Tully, the firm’s founding partner, is a lieutenant colonel in the New York Army National guard. He said in the announcement, “This is our way of saying ‘thanks’ to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line, and holidays on hold, for our country.”

The law firm sponsored a similar giveaway for Thanksgiving.
