Tully Rinckey PLLC, an Albany–based law firm that has a Syracuse office, has promoted Graig D. Cortelyou to chief of operations.
The firm says the promotion follows Tully Rinckey’s recent expansion into the Syracuse and Buffalo markets, and it positions the firm for future growth. As chief of operations, Cortelyou directs Tully Rinckey’s marketing, business development, strategic planning, and corporate-communication efforts firm-wide. He oversees a variety of initiatives, including public relations, client relations, recruiting, and information technology, the company says.
Prior to his promotion, Cortelyou was Tully Rinckey’s chief marketing officer. He first joined the law firm in 2007.
Tully Rinckey says it has more than tripled its number of employees to nearly 100 and grown its revenue by 475 percent with the help of the marketing initiatives Cortelyou has developed and implemented.
From Tully Rinckey’s headquarters in Albany, Cortelyou planned and directed multiple expansion projects, including the launch of the firm’s offices in Washington, D.C., Arlington, Va., Syracuse, and Buffalo, the company says.
“Since Graig joined Tully Rinckey, the firm has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies. He’s added horsepower to our strong and steady growth,” Tully Rinckey Managing Partner Greg T. Rinckey said in a news release. “Through his innovative marketing strategies, Graig has distinguished Tully Rinckey from other law firms locally and nationally.”
Cortelyou has been featured as a legal marketing expert in local and national media outlets and has spoken at major legal conferences.
Cortelyou received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego. He is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, Legal Marketing Association, American Association of Inside Sales Professionals, and the Public Relations Society of America.
Tully Rinckey’s practice areas include family and matrimonial law, estate planning, employment law, military law, real-estate law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, personal injury, and criminal defense, including DWI and traffic tickets. Its Syracuse office is located at 507 Plum St.
