Kim Tully
Director of Educational Advisement
Kimberly earned her M.S. in Special Education and Literacy from the University at Albany. She has had various experiences in the education field, including reading instruction at P.S. 19 in Albany, as a Special Education teacher at P.S. 12 in Troy, and most recently working with socially and economically disadvantaged preschool children and their families as a Special Educator in the Albany neighborhood of Arbor Hill.
Kimberly’s education and work as a special educator offer her the unique ability to work within the firm assisting both clients and attorneys on various aspects of the field of Special Education. Specifically, Kimberly assists our attorneys by providing them information regarding the laws that govern the area of Special Education; from the Committee on Special Education (CSE) process to 504 plans. Kimberly works as a liaison between the firm and teachers, school/district administrators, social workers, and other service providers to help ensure that client’s children receive all of the services to which they are in need of due to different circumstances (special needs, divorce, behavior management).
In addition to working as a teacher, Kimberly is also involved in trying to prevent abuse and neglect of children, as well as animals. Upon request, Kimberly conducts humane education classes at local venues discussing the prevention of cruelty to animals.
After 9/11, Kimberly volunteered at the World Trade Center site working with rescue animals and providing general humane education under the command and control of the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Kimberly is married to Mathew Tully, the founding partner of the firm. Kimberly and her family reside in the greater Capital Region. In their spare time, Kimberly and Mathew enjoy traveling with their sons, and participating in various summer and winter sports.
