Shirley C. Favata

Human Resources Manager

As Tully Rinckey PLLC's Human Resources Manager, Shirley is responsible for all firm activities associated with human resources. In addition to serving as the firm’s benefits administrator, she works with staff on employee relations, employee engagement, new hire on-boarding, training and development. She also manages and processes payroll as the administrator for the firm’s 401k employer matching plan.

Shirley chairs the Tully Rinckey PLLC Charity Committee, which engages in various events and initiatives throughout the year. The mission of the committee is to develop and enhance humanitarian efforts in various communities.

Shirley came to Tully Rinckey PLLC with 20 years of experience as the Director of Finance and Human Resource Manager for a nonprofit agency that provided special education for preschool children with special needs. There, she served as the nonprofit’s benefits administrator, processing all health, vision, dental and COBRA enrollments. She was also responsible for payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, billing and grant work.

Shirley attended Union College for accounting and finance and Russell Sage for commercial art. She was an assistant manager and a consumer lending officer at Chase Manhattan Bank for 11 years.

Outside of the office, Shirley’s favorite thing to do is to spend time with her children and grandchild. Her passion is the martial arts. Shirley has been an instructor at Northeast Tae Kwon Do for 28 years. She holds a master-level, 6th degree black belt and will soon test for her 7th degree. Shirley has also been an avid motorcyclist for 19 years.
