Vijay Mani
Law Clerk
Vijay is a law clerk with Tully Rinckey PLLC. He assists attorneys with legal research and writing along with document review and preparation in federal sector employment and labor law matters.
Vijay came to Tully Rinckey PLLC with almost three years of experience as a litigation law clerk in the Washington, D.C. area. During that time, he has drafted a petition for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court regarding a reasonable accommodation issue under the Americans with Disabilities Act. He has also assisted in the preparation for multiple trials, including a federal jury trial involving an Equal Pay Act collective action. Additionally, he has served as the managing editor for the Labor and Employment Law Forum Brief.
Prior to his law clerk experience, Vijay served as the senior information and training manager for the National Institute of Health’s Office of Communications in Bethesda, Md. He also worked for a year with AmeriCorps in Washington, D.C, where he helped children affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS.
Vijay is on track to obtain his juris doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Okla., where he graduated with honors and served as president of the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society and chairman of the Student Health Advisory Board.
Vijay is fluent in Tamil and has a working knowledge of American Sign Language. He is a member of the South Asian Bar Association, Student Division and the National Employment Lawyers Association. When not at work, Vijay enjoys tennis, basketball, and chess.
