Jennifer Hoffpauir

Jennifer Hoffpauir is a senior counsel with Tully Rinckey PLLC, working out of their Washington, D.C., office. Jennifer focuses her practice on employment law, business law, and nonprofits.

A former human resources leader in the highly regulated healthcare and energy sectors, she is a trusted advisor on employment matters for both employers and employees. Jennifer uniquely understands the needs of wronged employees, and clients value her insights into how and why employers act as they do. At Tully Rinckey, she represents government and private sector employees in discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters.

Jennifer also serves as outside general counsel to a range of businesses and nonprofits. As an experienced in-house advisor to startups and nonprofits, she is well-positioned to understand the unique challenges of growing businesses. She is also knowledgeable about nonprofit formation and operations and advises nonprofits on corporate governance, board support, and taxation. Jennifer advises a range of organizations on employment compliance and is experienced at conducting internal investigations, coaching leaders through organizational changes, and resolving complex employment challenges before they lead to litigation.

Jennifer received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. In law school, she clerked at the U.S. Department of Justice. She was recognized on Dean’s List and received the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Award for Best Research Paper. She received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.

In her spare time, Jennifer serves on multiple nonprofit boards and is an avid home cook.
