Tully Rinckey PLLC, a full-service law firm with 11 offices nationwide, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position will be based in our Albany, NY headquarters.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Human Resources experience and must have experience with payroll and ADP. The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for day to day administrative tasks in addition to working with the Human Resources Manager on HR initiatives that include employee onboarding, payroll and benefits oversight management and training. Processing payroll and benefits in ADP is a large portion of the job and ADP experience is a must.
Duties include:
- Support the Human Resources Department in the areas of new hire processing, personnel and performance evaluation tracking, coordination of benefits administration, ensuring quality service and process efficiency, under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager;
- Process payroll, leave, benefits and 401(k) enrollment tasks for new hires
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic form. Provide support with regard to administrative tasks to include scanning documents, ensuring paperwork is up to date and filed.
- Maintain HR trackers for various tasks and follow up with any Managers that have outstanding items pro-actively;
- Provide support to employees on HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise, escalate as needed to the Human Resources Manager;
- Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to timekeeping, PTO, and payroll within ADP.
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and employee concerns.
- Support audits and reporting requirements related to payroll and timekeeping.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including ADP system setup and termination workflows.
- Perform benefits audit to ensure that costs are accurate and correct;
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and general inquiries.
- Coordinate with benefit providers and brokers to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
- Assist with employee relations matters and escalate as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Associates or bachelors degree required;
- Proven experience in Human Resources for 2-3 years;
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures;
- Experience processing payroll using ADP;
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong technical skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Aptitude in problem-solving;
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.
Compensation: $60,000.00-85,000.00 per year. Paid leave up to two weeks vacation, five sick days and firm approved federal holidays.
