Rachel Coons is a Legal Secretary in the Rochester office of Tully Rinckey, where she assists multiple attorneys with their clients’ legal matters and also provides administrative support. Rachel efficiently and regularly manages a high workload while aiming to provide the highest standard of customer service possible.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Rachel was a Litigation Legal Assistant for a Rochester law firm, where she prepared a range of legal documents for the firm’s litigation attorneys. She also oversaw the Answer intake queries, escalating Answers and Stipulations for clients and opposing counsel; ensured that all necessary information was shared between clients and attorneys on various files related to legal matters; and assessed the urgency of situations to determine appropriate actions, monitoring the status of pending items and providing follow-up updates. Rachel previously worked as a Legal Intern for Livingston County Family Court in Geneseo, N.Y. In that role, she prepared family court orders, motions, and legal documents for filing in the New York State Unified Court System. She assisted with answering phone calls while navigating the New York State Unified Court System to properly provide information and prepare paper work, while shadowing judges, support magistrate, surrogates, Supreme and County Court calendars.
Rachel graduated from the State University of New York Geneseo with a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science and minors in Anthropology and Sociology. There, she was active in the Student Senate as a Committee Member and served as a Community Advocate for Women in Leadership, empowering and encouraging women to act as catalysts for social change.
