Michael is an Associate at Tully Rinckey PLLC who practices multiple areas of law, including real estate law, civil litigation, bankruptcy, criminal defense, employment law, intellectual property and corporate law. His experience with a multi-practice approach enables him to safeguard his clients’ rights on multiple fronts.

Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Michael served as an Of Counsel attorney for a Schenectady law firm. In this role, he represented clients in various litigation and transactional matters. He also served as counsel for a Capital Region property management company with commercial and residential real estate across New York State. In addition to overseeing civil litigation and transactional matters at this company, he negotiated and executed property management agreements for over 200 properties.

As a litigation attorney, Michael develops effective and creative strategies for anyone in the civil or criminal arena. He is aggressive in court, attentive to detail, and always willing to listen to his clients.

Outside of court, Michael also helps clients with all types of transactional issues: from forming corporate entities to drafting contracts; Michael’s multifaceted approach allows him to competently and confidently hand tailor documents to his clients’ specific needs.

While attending law school at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Michael served as a judicial intern for a judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also interned at a Chicago law firm and served at a law clerk for the law school’s Veterans Legal Support Center, where he assisted veterans with obtaining therapy services, served as a liaison with federal prosecutors on behalf of veterans facing federal petty offenses, and drafted pro bono memorandum. In 2013, his article, “Cyber-anarchy in the Digital Age: Developing a System of Human (Copy) Rights,” was published in The John Marshall Law of Intellectual Property Law.
