Lauren Garcia, Esq., is an Associate Attorney specializing in federal and state employment law. Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Lauren worked as a staff attorney and policy advisor at the Texas Workforce Commission, where she assisted commissioners and high-level executives in administering the state’s unemployment benefits program. Lauren is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
Lauren earned a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in government and history from the University of Texas at Austin. During law school, Lauren served as the managing editor of the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy and the Law. Additionally, she worked as a legal intern at the Department of Justice, Employment Litigation Section, assisting in employment discrimination cases against state and local employers. Lauren also served as a judicial law clerk at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she helped draft judicial decisions in employment discrimination cases involving federal employers.
