Edward Murphy

Edward “Ted” Murphy, Esq. is Senior Counsel in Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Latham office, focusing on criminal and family & matrimonial matters, and has been practicing law since 2006.

Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Ted was a sole practitioner representing, counseling and advising clients in criminal law, civil law and family law. He previously served twice as a Special Deputy Assistant State Attorney for the Division of Criminal Justice for the state of Connecticut.

After graduating from law school, he worked as a judicial clerk in both the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch and Connecticut’s Public Defenders Office for Juveniles. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a teacher and a computer network engineer.

Ted is admitted to practice law in New York State and Connecticut. He earned his Juris Doctor law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, CT., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT.
