Laura is an associate with Tully Rinckey in the federal employment law practice group. Laura has dedicated herself to empowering members of her community and seeking justice for those needing an advocate.

Laura gained over two years of plaintiff-side litigation experience before joining the Tully Rinckey team in 2023. She has gained experience at a large national law firm focused on healthcare and malpractice matters. Laura has also worked on employment matters throughout her career, including high-profile matters involving state government entities.

Laura also possesses experience in business and transactional law. Laura’s unique background in business, mediation, and negotiation offers a versatile perspective to the employment law sector. She received her MBA in 2018 from the American University Kogod School of Business and was the competition director for the alternative dispute resolution honor society. Additionally, her Transactional Law Society placed second at the Warsaw Negotiation Round in 2018.

Laura has since represented healthcare providers and IT companies in all aspects of employment and business law, including matters such as business formation, organization, and governance; wage and hour issues; and security and privacy matters.

During her time in law school, Laura’s passion for civil rights intersected with her interest in law and business. While in school, Laura dedicated much of her time to civil rights matters, becoming a senior staff member of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law and serving as a teaching fellow for the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project.

Laura was passionate long before law school about working with her community to advocate for the rights of its members and supporting small businesses. She worked at a nonprofit agency that helped local businesses and low-income residents and proudly served as an AmericCorps VISTA from 2010 and 2011.

Laura is passionate about justice, not just for humans but for animals alike. She spends much of her spare time volunteering for a local animal rescue, finding abandoned and abused dogs and cats their forever homes.
