Base Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year based on experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Docketing Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of litigation calendaring systems, court rules, electronic filing procedures, and deadline management in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
In this role, the Docketing Associate will support attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff by maintaining accurate calendaring systems and ensuring procedural compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will:

  • Review court filings, notices, scheduling orders, and legal documents to identify, calculate, and calendar deadlines, hearings, and appearance dates in accordance with applicable court rules, statutes, local rules, and jurisdiction-specific procedures
  • Maintain and manage the firm’s centralized docketing and calendaring systems, including tracking primary deadlines, reminder dates, continuances, adjournments, filing deadlines, and attorney schedules across multiple practice groups
  • Conduct daily deadline audits and distribute deadline reminders and reports to attorneys, practice heads, and legal teams to ensure timely completion of all legal obligations and reduce risk exposure
  • Monitor scheduling conflicts, identify at-risk deadlines, escalate urgent issues to attorneys and management, and support firmwide compliance with internal calendaring protocols and malpractice prevention procedures
  • Assist attorneys and legal staff with electronic filing procedures, court rule compliance, online docket research, and coordination of deadline coverage in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of prior docketing/calendaring experience required
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
