Battlefield to Boardroom:

Writing a powerful Capability Statement

Overview:

Capability statements are the standard document for businesses looking to market to government agencies or contracts. You have a resume for yourself; shouldn’t you have one for your business?

We will discuss the necessary components of an effective capability statement and tips for creating a compelling statement that will capture the interest of contracting personnel, potential partners, and prime contractors.

We’ll be joined by Gregory Lindberg, an Economic Development Specialist at the Small Business Association of Buffalo, NY. Greg will be providing tips and insight from his experience with the SBA.

Also joining our panel is Daniel McDonald, a partner at Patriot Design and Consulting, an SDVOB certified civil engineering firm with locations in Rochester and Jamestown, NY. Dan will share some of his experiences preparing capability statements as an SDVOB.

Fellow attendees and business owners will also have the opportunity to share how they approach writing capability statements and what they have found successful.
