Understanding Parental Alienation in Family Law

Overview:

Nancy Nissen, Partner, and Samantha Dugan, Law Clerk, of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s White Plains office, will present a free Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar titled “Understanding Parental Alienation in Family Law” on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12.

Topics covered in the CLE will include:

  • A refresher on the fundamentals of custody determinations.
  • An overview of the origins of the term parental alienation and how it is defined by the courts.
  • A review of recent case law addressing parental alienation.
  • Practical guidance on effectively litigating parental alienation claims, as well as strategies for defending against them.

How to Join:

To participate, please register using the form on this page. Upon registering, you will receive a link and instructions on how to access the CLE.  A timed agenda, supplemental course materials, an attorney affirmation and a course evaluation will be circulated on the day of the CLE.

After the CLE, please fill out and return the completed attorney affirmation and course evaluation to cle@tullylegal.com. Upon receipt, we will provide a certificate of CLE completion.
