SYRACUSE, N.Y. (CNY Central) — 150 turkeys were handed out to local veterans in just 15 minutes on Monday.
It was part of the 17th annual Turkeys for Veterans giveaway ahead of Thanksgiving. The event was hosted in partnership with Price Chopper and Tully Rinckey, PLLC.
“Our veteran roots run deep and we like to take advantage of any opportunity we have to give back to the veteran community,” said Managing Partner at Tully Rinckey Anthony Kuhn. “This is just a small way we can say thank you and recognize the service and sacrifice of the veterans.”
The 150 turkeys equate to around 2,000 pounds.
