Eugene Welch, a partner at Tully Rinckey PLLC, has been recognized by the town of Greece for 14 years of service as a trustee of the Greece Library Board of Trustees.

Town Supervisor William D. Reilich presented Welch with a Town Proclamation at the Dec. 4 Library Board meeting.

During the presentation, Reilich recited the proclamation that Welch has demonstrated extraordinary volunteerism and community responsibility to the citizens of Greece.

Also noted in the award were Welch’s many accomplishments, including overseeing the significant improvements in both library buildings and the library services including digital technology, eReaders, and the Creation Station.

“As a member of both the greater Rochester community and legal community it is important to me to give back. I consider it the most important civic duty one can display,” Welch said in a news release.

Welch’s law practice encompasses federal and state litigation and governmental issues. He is a certified federal court mediator.

A Rochester native and graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School, Welch received his law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
