Adrian Laruiello is a Partner with Tully Rinckey PLLC’s New York City office, where he focuses his practice on employment and military law matters.
Adrian spent over 21 years at the New York City Department of Corrections, serving in the positions of agency attorney; Deputy Director of Investigations; Director of Investigations & Trials; and Executive Director of Investigations, Trials & Intelligence. He retired as the Executive Director of Internal Affairs at the New York City Department of Corrections and a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
His professional experience includes trying over 100 disciplinary hearings at the New York City Office of Administrative Trials & Hearings and overseeing thousands of investigations into allegations of employee misconduct. He has also served as legal counsel to numerous 15-6 investigations, FLIPLs, Administrative Separation Boards, Line of Duty Investigations, UCMJ Article 32 hearings, and Congressional Inquiries, as well as being involved in high-profile CID investigations. Additionally, he has conducted numerous jury and bench trials before the New York City and New York State Civil and Criminal Courts.
Adrian has four years of active duty service and over 16 years as a reservist, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan on three tours of duty. His assignments include the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a Battalion and Group Judge Advocate; United States Army Special Operations Command (Airborne) as the Chief of Administrative Law, Chief of Military Justice, and Chief of Operations Law; Joint Special Operations Command as a Deputy Legal Advisor; and Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as a Deputy General Counsel.
Adrian is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Marist College and his law degree from New York Law School.
