Sara B. Sweeney is an Senior Associate in Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Albany office, where she focuses her practice primarily in Matrimonial and Family law.
Sara is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Schenectady County Bar Association. Sara provides representation in virtually every aspect of Family and Matrimonial law including matters relating to child custody, child support, orders of protection and family offenses, parental alienation, separation agreements, divorce, enforcement of divorce decrees, spousal maintenance, pre-and post-nuptial agreements, neglect and abuse, and termination of parental rights.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Sara worked as an Associate in an Albany law firm, where she practiced in the area of real estate law and handled both commercial and residential transactions. Ms. Sweeney earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from SUNY College at Buffalo, and her Juris Doctorate from University at Buffalo Law School. During law school, Ms. Sweeney clerked for the Hon. Paula Feroleto, District Administrative Judge for the 8th Judicial District of New York. In addition, she participated in the Pro Se Civil Litigation Support Practicum, where she provided pro se litigants with assistance in navigating legal documents and the court system in Erie County Family Court and U.S. District Court for the Western District of NY.
