Moonbeam LLC owes Onondaga County over 13 million dollars worth of property taxes. The property they own at Shoppingtown Mall is almost entirely empty after evicting tenants that didn’t already leave on their own. Now, Onondaga County, the Town of Dewitt, and the Jamesville Dewitt School District are a few steps away from paying $3.5 million to Moonbeam for the mall. On top of that, Moonbeam will get some small fraction of any future sale of the property.
