Arab-American Group to Honor Albany Attorney for Pro-bono Work

A survivor of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City has received the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee pro-bono attorney of the year award.

Mathew Tully of Albany, N.Y., who escaped from his 65th floor office in the World Trade Center when the attacks took place, will be recognized during the Anti-Discrimination 25th Anniversary National Convention Civil Rights Awards on May 28.

Tully is being honored for representing Joe Mansour, an Arab-American federal corrections officer, in his workplace discrimination case on a pro-bono basis.

Tully established the Albany law firm of Tully Rinckey and Associates shortly after the attacks took place.
