Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

Following the enactment of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), pregnant workers now have an additional layer of protection from discrimination and retribution when it comes to asking for reasonable accommodations. As stipulated by the Act, all New York companies with more than 15 employees must offer some form of reasonable accommodations to workers limited by their pregnancy or childbirth.
